The popular and hardy indoor snake plant, sometimes referred to as mother-in-law’s tongue or Sansevieria, is well-known for its capacity to flourish in low light and with little water.
It is distinguished by its upright, sword-like leaves, some of which, like those of the Laurentii, have vivid yellow edges.
Although snake plants are simple to maintain, it’s crucial to avoid giving them too much water because this might cause root rot.
They can withstand dry spells and prefer soil that drains properly. Depending on the climate and conditions, watering should occur every 1.5 to 6 weeks, or more frequently if the soil feels dry one inch deep.

Additionally well-known for its ability to filter the air, snake plants can enhance the quality of the air indoors. For best growth, snake plants should be planted in areas with bright, indirect sunshine and can be cultivated in a range of soil types. It’s crucial to keep them away from pets because they are poisonous to cats. As the plant grows, repotting will be required, and in order to prevent damage, it is preferable to underwater rather than overwater.
